Sometimes you just fancy a trip to a nice country pub, or to take your classic for a good blast around the countryside. Below is a sample of a few of our favourite pubs to drive to and routes to explore in Wiltshire, Hampshire & The New Forest.

Beckford Arms

With 8 rooms, and 2 further lodges close by, the Beckford Arms offers a perfect stop over. We say this, because with the food, beer and wine menu, you're going to be hard pushed to resist indulging in one capacity or another.

Pembroke Arms

An absolute favourite of ours, The Pembroke Arms has it all, fantastic food (pies and pizzas are a must) a great beer selection, casual beer garden, and plenty of parking with 9 ensuite rooms there are plenty of reasons to stay.

Royal Oak Swallowcliffe

One of the best Sunday Roasts you could possibly hope for. The Royal Oak is James May's lockdown project, and what a glorious job he has made of it, a fantastic pub with exceptional food in a stunning location. 6 rooms in the pub and ample parking, what more could you ask for?

Three Tuns Inn Bransgore

An interesting and varied menu in a quaint New Forest location, a large terrace and fantastic views, this place is a summer lunchtime favourite!

The Boot Inn - Houghton

An upmarket menu in a glorious location, it's the quintessence of a country pub. Though sadly there are no rooms to stop for the night, it's a great lunch or early dinner spot, and the wine list isn't too shabby either.
